As mentioned in other reviews- adjust your expectations and you'll have a great stay. The rooms are small but clean and nice. I was worried about the safety of the location but it was completely fine. I personally did not have any issues with finding parking at the hotel's lot. The adjacent bar is very nice and has great happy hour from 4-7pm. The staff was very friendly!

Wonderful little boutique hotel on the eastern edge of Hollywood, with a gorgeous art deco cocktail lounge and restaurant. Wonderful staff, clean and well maintained. European style rooms without a lot of bells and whistles. If you're looking for corporate chain hotel amenities this ain't it, it's quaint, cozy and comfortable. Onsite parking is excellent.

From Australia. It was exactly as described HISTORIC Hotel. Old and charming. Bed and pillows was comfortable and probably the best ive slept on whilst on my travels. Public transport was easy enough buses at door or at least within a block. Only downside is I would love to see a kettle in room to be able to make a coffee :) Betty was just amazing welcoming and knowledgeable of local area. We travelled all over from here on public transport! Daily room service.I felt comfortable enough to stay here again if I return ..Thanks guys! There is a bar and coffee shop on board. Hollywood sign on background from room :)

The staff were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are small but functional. Beds were comfortable. Parking was a breeze. The location is fairly close to wherever you need to go. The restaurant and sweet shop were excellent. We would stay again.

There is charm and warmth at the Hollywood Historic Hotel. This is obvious when seeing the hotel. There is staff pride; so importantly it is the tone set by the outstanding hotel manager, Betty! She loves her work with a career which has spanned three decades at the hotel. Betty cares about each guest. She even helped directly before arrival by showing care and concern with the utmost of professionalism. Betty and all the staff greeted with big hellos daily, creating the feeling of warm embraces. This is a hotel to appreciate and love. The building is extremely clean although the lack of modernism can deceive. Don’t be deterred. If it’s typical, more modern and predictable you seek by all means book a Hilton or Marriott. If you want authentic and special then book the Hollywood Historic Hotel. It exudes the moments of bygone times. I am truly proud to have stayed at this wonderful place!

Dont expect a luxury brand new hotel type of experience. The name of the hotel describes perfectly what you should expect. It is an old hotel however the rooms are okay, spacious and have everything you need. However there is a musty smell in the room, it is not too bad but it is there. It is a good place to stay in a lower budget than the average hotels however it is a away from the very central areas and doesnt have a metro line close which may be a problem if you dont have your own transport. If you rent a car though this place is perfect.

Great value for what we paid. If you just need somewhere to sleep this seems fine. Our room was clean and everything seemed to work. The shower is tiny, the bathroom is small and has minimal counter space, and the whole room is small in general at least for the double queen room we had. I expected this based on reviews and didn’t mind. I do wish they moved the shower curtain out a little it was an uncomfortable shower. Our room was pretty quiet once we closed the window. It was a Saturday night and we went to bed early and didn’t hear much. Staff was polite and my charges were correct. Parking in the back was 15 bucks and it seemed like someone was out there most of the night. We didn’t have any problems.

I arrived late from a delayed flight and the staff couldn’t have been happier to help, get me booked in and my room sorted. My room was amazing with a view of the Hollywood hills sign and the bar/food was amazing! The guy outside helping to park the cars was new for me and he just made the end of a long day great. Over all 10/10
